Alfred Franklin Cervantes, Sr., 72, passed away on June 10, 2012, at Red Rose Health and Rehab in Cassville after a long illness. He was born to Nellie and Natchez Cervantes on July 4, 1939, in Tulsa, Okla.
He started his profession as a barber and ended his career as a section man with the Union Pacific Railroad in 2002 after 28 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and three brothers, all of Tulsa, Okla.
Survivors include: one sister, Virginia Cervantes, of Tulsa; six children, Jeanna Jones and husband, Chuck Jones, of Garfield, Ark., Lori Bomar, of Rogers, Ark., Virginia Davis, of Grove, Okla., Al Cervantes, Jr., of Commerce, Okla., Mary Dushane and husband, Jimmy Dushane, of Fairland, Okla., and David Hager, of Lincoln, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration service is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Cassville at 2 p.m. Services will be officiated by Al Cervantes, Jr.
