SUPPORT GROUP: The Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) group of Cassville meets at 8 p.m. at 1308 Harold St. in Cassville. For more information, call 846-4044.

SUPPORT GROUP: Anyone who is concerned about a friend's or loved one's drinking is invited to attend the Cassville Al-Anon Family Group, which meets at 8 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Cassville.

CLASS: The Cassville Senior Center will hold a paint class at 9 a.m.

SPECIAL EVENT: The Barry-Lawrence Regional Library will kick off its summer reading program with performances by magician DJ Edwards at the Shell Knob Branch Library at 10 a.m. and the Cassville Branch Library at 1:30 p.m. Edwards will also perform at the Purdy Branch Library at 3:30 p.m.

DANCE: The Seligman Lions Club will hold a dance at the Seligman Community Building at 7 p.m. Admission is $4. For more information, call 846-5355.


Friday, June 8

FUN AND GAMES: The Cassville Senior Center will hold fun and games at 12:30 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENT: The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will offer Friday Squared on the square in Cassville beginning at 6 p.m. The outdoor movie will be shown on the big screen at dark.

PROGRAM: The Purdy Branch Library will offer a program for its teen summer reading club at 3 p.m. Attendees will learn to tie dye clothing and receive information on stargazing.

FUNDRAISER: Red Rose Health and Rehab will hold a car wash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds from the event will go to the facility's annual fireworks display.


Saturday, June 9

CRUISE-IN: The Cassville Cruisers will hold this month's cruise-in, which has been named Jammin' in June at the Barry County Museum on Highway 112 south of Cassville from 5 to 8 p.m. The event will offer door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and musical entertainment.

CAR SHOW: The Seligman Chamber of Commerce will hold its third annual car show and swap meet at Ruby's Event Park on Highway 37 in Seligman. Car show registration begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call 417-662-2612.

SUPPORT GROUP: Celebrate Recovery will meet at the Golden Baptist Church, on Highway J in Golden, at 7 p.m. A dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m. The support group is for anyone with hurts, habits or hangups.

MEETING: The Eagle Rock Community Association will hold its potluck dinner and meeting at 6:30 p.m.

PROGRAM: The Eagle Rock Branch Library will offer a summer reading program at 2 p.m. Attendees will decorate their own library book bags.
