Area athletes pick up conference honors

The Spring River Valley and Ozark 7 Conferences recently announced their post season baseball awards.

The following local coaches and athletes picked up conference honors.

Ozark 7 Conference

* Coach of the Year: Joshua Hughes.

* Players of the Year: Tyler Ferguson, Southwest, and Cody Hall, Purdy.

First Team

Tyler Musick and Sean Goostree, Wheaton; Kong Lee, Exeter; Anthony Berticino and Shaw Robertson, McAuley; Travis Haworth, Jordan Savage and Jake Shrum, Southwest; and Reese Stevenson, Cameron Terry and Austin Hancock, Purdy.

Honorable mention

Kyle Robbins and Steven Hendrix, Wheaton; Colten Stringer, Exeter; Cole Lowry, McAuley; Ty Hackett, Southwest; and Devon Bennett and Keevin Walker, Purdy.
