Wrecks occur over weekend

A Shell Knob man was injured in a Memorial Day crash that occurred at 7:50 a.m. on Highway 39 about two miles south of Viola.

The crash occurred when the driver of a 2010 Ford Focus, Vernon T. Bowman, 54, of Shell Knob, crossed the centerline and struck a 2003 Dodge pickup truck, driven by Hannah R. Brobston, 22, of Cassville.

Bowman was taken by private vehicle to Skaggs Hospital in Branson with minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.

Other wrecks

* A Cassville youth was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at Farm Road 1240 about two miles west of Shell Knob. The wreck occurred when the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu, Chance L. Henson, 16, of Cassville, failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. Henson was taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries.

* A Cassville woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, May 21 on Farm Road 1135 about four miles north of Cassville. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1995 Ford Windstar, Laura R. Talbert, 32, of Cassville, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Talbert was airlifted to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries.
