Turkey Mountain Airport in Shell Knob will be hosting the first fly-in of the season on Saturday, May 26. In addition to area pilots and planes arriving at the gathering, a Super Cub group from Gaston's Resort will be using Turkey Mountain Airport as a lunch stop during their poker-run fundraiser to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. Turkey Mountain will offer a 50/50 donation pot with proceeds to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. A lunch of all-beef hot dogs, beans, chips, dessert and drinks, which will be available for a nominal fee, will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Spectators are urged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the free event.
