Cassville Democrat: Community Sports: Chamber announces golf tourney winners (05/23/12)

Flight A winners Chuck Edie, John Chappell, Casey Crass and Scott Tucker earned first place in the A Flight at the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce's fifth annual golf tournament last Friday. The team was sponsored by Re/Max.

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce held its fifth annual four-man scramble golf tournament at the Cassville Golf Course on May 18. The Sandwich Factory, located inside the golf course clubhouse, provided a taco bar luncheon prior to the tournament.

The first place winners in the A Flight were Chuck Edie, John Chappell, Casey Crass and Scott Tucker, sponsored by Re/Max. Other top finishers in the A Flight included: Ron Stafford, Les Lyons, Denny Wolf and Larry McWhirter, sponsored by International Paper, first place; and Darrin Prier, Kevin Umstattd, Miles Umstattd and Brent Johnson, sponsored by Sonic, second place.

Top finishers in the B Flight were: Marlon Henderson, Tom Giovannihi, JC Gillespie and Ed Liley, sponsored by George's, first place; Kenyon Atkinson, Randy Stockton, Ryan Stockton and Kyle Edwards, sponsored by Arning Industries, second place; and Greg Matthew, Matt Botzer, Scott Sanston and Mike Suhrheinrick, third place.

Flight B winners The team that included Marlon Henderson, Tom Giovannihi, JC Gillespie and Ed Liley, which is pictured above, earned first place in the B Flight at the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. The team that included Kenyon Atkinson, Randy Stockton, Ryan Stockton and Kyle Edwards, which is pictured below, earned second place in the B Flight.

Special awards were presented to: Giovannihi, crazy line, hole 1; LaDon Vanzandt, closest to the pin, hole 11; and Ben Galbraith, closest to the pin, hole 6.
