The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the fifth annual chamber golf tournament and luncheon at the Cassville Golf Course on Friday. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m., and tee-time for the four-man scramble is 1 p.m.
"We wanted to show our members some appreciation for being a part of the chamber," said Gary Whyte, chamber president. "We know we ask of them a lot in time and money. Since this is our fifth year for the event, we are giving away a $200 chamber credit that can be used in sponsoring future events or applied toward a membership."
The Sandwich Factory, located inside the golf course clubhouse, will provide a taco bar for those interested in attending the luncheon. During the lunch, the chamber will hold a door prize drawing for two $50 Cassville Cash coupons and the $200 chamber credit.
Golfers will also have the opportunity to win cash prizes during the tournament. In addition to flight prizes, closest to the pin and crazy line awards will be presented to winning participants.
Flights will be determined by the number of teams. The tournament is limited to the first 25 teams that register.
The tournament fee is $50 per player or $200 per team. Mulligans and five iron on hole five will be available during registration.
Golf tournament sponsors include: Arning Companies; Barry Electric Cooperative; Baywash Car Wash; Cassville SOMO Storage; Barry County Farm Bureau; Commerce Bank; Freedom Bank; Hutchens Construction; International Paper; Kwik T's; Latco; MariCorp U.S.; Mercy Hospital; Runnels Chiropractic; Security Bank; Sonic; TH Rogers; and Willis Insurance.
