Wheaton student takes first at SkillsUSA competition

A total of 33 Crowder College students participated at the Missouri SkillsUSA competition held at Linn State Technical College, where Mike Simpson, of Wheaton, took first place in the diesel equipment technology contest. Simpson was also a member of the building works/teamworks team, which earned a first place award. Simpson will now have the opportunity to compete at the Skills USA national contest scheduled to take place in Kansas City in June. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry members working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Students participating in the competition are pictured above.
