Jane Michelle VanSlyke, 47, Neosho, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at her home. She was born Aug. 15, 1964, in Wichita, Kan., to Charles Wayne and Norma Elaine (Murphy) Beasley.

She and her family moved to Neosho in 1967. She has lived in this area most of her life. She had worked as a babysitter, beautician and church custodian. She was a member of Calvary Baptist of Neosho.

Jane married Mark VanSlyke on Oct. 6, 1984, in Neosho, and he survives.

Additional survivors include: her children, Dakota VanSlyke and his wife, Felicia, Brittany VanSlyke and Madison VanSlyke; two grandchildren; her parents, Charles and Norma Beasley; two sisters, Renee Moore and her husband, Martin, and Karen Jester and her husband, Jimmy; and a brother, Calvin Beasley and his wife, Anita.

Funeral services were held Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Neosho, with Pastor Roger Brumley officiating. Burial followed in New Salem Cemetery, west of Neosho.

Arrangements were under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
