Arkansas woman injured in crash

A Berryville, Ark., woman was injured in a two-vehicle wreck that took place at 10:30 p.m. last Thursday night on Highway 86 about two miles east of Golden.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred when the unknown driver of an eastbound 2000 Dodge Dakota was making a pass on a hillcrest and struck a 1995 Ford Thunderbird, driven by Shauna L. Goodwin, 21, of Berryville, Ark.

Goodwin was taken to Mercy Hospital in Berryville, Ark., with minor injuries.

Other wrecks

* Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 4:30 p.m. last Wednesday on County Road 2060 about two miles southeast of Purdy. The crash occurred when the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet Astro van, Allene Taylor, 77, of Washburn, made a left turn out of a private drive and struck a 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by Sarah E. Davis, 33, of Monett, head on. Taylor and a passenger in the vehicle, Robert Taylor, 88, of Washburn, were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield with moderate and minor injuries respectively. Davis was taken to Cox Monett Hospital with minor injuries. All parties involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
