Cat Stackers excel at tourney

Several of the Cassville Cat Stackers participated in a recent Claw and Paw speed stacking tournament at Cassville Intermediate School. The competition featured four events in which 7- to 12-year-old Cat Stackers participated.

Carson Whittemire and Madry McCrackin won the 3-3-3 event with a time of 3.38 seconds. Issac Dodson placed first in the 3-6-3 event with a time of 3.62 seconds and in the cycle event with a time of 10.06. Dodson also joined Austin Wilson in the doubles event and earned first place with a time of 15.71 seconds.

All of the Cassville Cat Stacker award winners are listed below by division.

Eight and under division: Sharayah Seymour, first place, 3-3-3, third place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle; Landrey Parnell, second place, 3-3-3, second place, 3-6-3, and third place, cycle; Cutter Hicks third place, 3-3-3, first place, 3-6-3, and first place, cycle.

Nine-year-old division: Carson Whittemire, first place, 3-3-3, first place, 3-6-3, and first place, cycle; Nefertiti Gautney, second place, 3-3-3, second place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle; Pace Evans, third place, 3-3-3; and Oliver Tasset, third place, 3-6-3, and third place, cycle.

Ten-year-old division: Madry McCrackin, first place, 3-3-3, first place, 3-6-3, and first place, cycle; Tayler McCullah, second place, 3-3-3, third place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle; and Kel Wilson, third place, 3-3-3, second place, 3-6-3, and third place, cycle.

Eleven-year-old division: Issac Dodson, first place, 3-3-3, first place, 3-6-3, and first place, cycle; Austin Wilson, second place, 3-3-3, second place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle; and Mary Hayse, third place, 3-3-3, third place, 3-6-3, and third place, cycle.

The following teams also earned awards in the doubles event: 8 and under division, Landrey Parnell and Elizabeth Ray, first place, Faith Correia and Allison Marcucci, second place and Josh Case and Ryan McCoy, third place; 9-year-old division, Carson Whittemire and Cutter Hicks, first place, Pace Evans and Zane Mebruer, second place, and Oliver Tasset and Quixote Gautney, third place; 10-year-old division, Madry McCracken and Tayler McCullah, first place, and Kel Wilson and Sharayah Seymour, second place; and 11 and up division, Issac Dodson and Austin Wilson, first place, and Nefertiti Gautney and Shayla Sewell, second place.

Students who take part in the doubles event with a partner from a different age division were required to compete in the oldest partners age division.
