Benches donated to Cassville YMCA

Scott Fitzpatrick and Kyle Wilkerson, from Maricorp US, constructed several player benchers for the Cassville YMCA. "About a month ago, I had a conversation with Dr. Steve Runnels, local chiropractor, and Mindi Artherton, Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce executive director, about our need for benches for our players and bleachers for our parents or fans," said Bob Crouthamel, Cassville YMCA youth and sports director. "The next thing I knew, I had the privilege of meeting Scott Fritzpatrick from Maricorp US and he said with no hesitation, 'Yes, we'll build you guys some benches.' He said he had some leftover dock material at Maricorp US and asked how many we needed." This week, Fitzpatrick and Wilkerson delivered eight benches to the soccer fields located at the Cassville Aquatic Park. "These benches are great," said Crouthamel. "They did this for no cost. They took there own time and material to build these benches. This is why I love this community. When people see a need they step up." The new benches were constructed using metal material, which will last much longer than wooden benches. Pictured above, from left, are: Fitzpatrick, Crouthamel and Wilkerson.
