This year, Shell Knob School students raised $1,325 for Pennies for Patients, which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Each class collected at least $50 during the three-week fundraiser. Kindergarten students collected $500 for Pennies for Patients and earned first place in the school-wide fundraising effort. The students earned a field trip to Jumping Joey in Springfield. "I was completely blown away by the fantastic results of the Pennies for Patients drive," said coach Robbie Artherton, who organized this year's fundraiser. "Thank you so much to students, teachers and community for your support in making it such an overwhelming success, and I owe a huge thank you to Arvest Bank for counting those many, many coins." Artherton is pictured above with the Shell Knob kindergarten class.
