Michael Taylor, 69, of Shell Knob, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. He was born in Chicago, Ill., son of Arthur and Pauline (Holmes) Taylor on Aug. 26, 1942. He enlisted in the Army in 1962, where he served as a marksmen in Germany. After returning home he began working for GM Cadillac as a painter. He visited his dad frequently in Shell Knob and fell in love with the Shell Knob community. He relocated and starting working at Walmart in Berryville, Ark. On June 26, 2007, he married Ninka Rischard at the First Baptist Church, Shell Knob.
He was a member of the Central Crossing Lodge #674 and the Shell Knob Shrine Club.
Survivors include: his wife, Ninka Taylor, of Shell Knob; one daughter, Wendy Michelle Holden and her husband, Bill, of Seminole, Fla.; two grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Surwell, of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Michael Taylor and Pauline Taylor.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home, Cassville.
