Russell K. Davenport, 69, of Pineville, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, in Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark.
He was born Jan. 22, 1943, in Kaney, Ark., the son of Victor and Juanita (Doty) Davenport. On Aug. 3, 1973, he was united in marriage to Geneva Owens, who preceded him in death on July 25, 2006. Also preceding him in death were his parents and a grandson.
Survivors include: five sons, Tom McDonald and his wife, Jackie, of Pineville, Roy McDonald, of New Orleans, La., Scott Davenport and his wife, Brandy, of Muskogee, Okla., Mike McDonald, of New Orleans, La., and Danny Davenport; one daughter, Lisa Grayson, of Muskogee, Okla.; two brothers, Don Davenport and his wife, Juanita, of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Gary Davenport and his wife, Georgia, of Sanford, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He grew up and received his education in National City, Calif., where he graduated from Sweet Water Union High School. He graduated from San Diego Junior College and then served a four- year sheet metal apprenticeship. Thirteen years ago, he moved from Arkansas to Pineville to make his home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Tom McDonald conducted the services. Burial was at Russell Cemetery, Butterfield.
