The Garden Sass Farmers' Market will open its 2012 season at the pavilion on Mineral Springs Road in the Cassville City Park on Friday, April 13. Vendors will welcome customers with snacks and goodies.
"This season will be one of the best as far as produce goes, and there will be many fine deals to be made," said John Potter, Garden Sass Farmers' Market president.
This month, the market will offer lettuce, spinach, Swiss chard, radishes, green onions, fresh strawberries, kale, greens, beets and turnips. Vendors will also offer crafts, breads, pies, pastries, jellies, jams, syrups and eggs.
"We will be expanding our market this year to include Saturdays at the southwest corner of the Tractor Supply parking lot, located at Highway 37 and Old Exeter Road in Cassville," said Potter.
The Garden Sass Farmers' Market is held at the pavilion on Mineral Springs Road from 7 a.m. to noon each Tuesday and Friday. Produce and other items will be offered at the Tractor Supply parking lot beginning at 7 a.m. each Saturday.
