Smoking is bad for business

Dear Editor:

I am a 17-year-old guy, and I want to talk about something that has been bothering me. Over the last several years, I've noticed employees, or owners smoking outside, right in front of their business entrance. I won't name any names but, one is a gift shop, one is a clothing store and one is a restaurant.

At one point, I really liked this restaurant, but now that I see their employees smoking right outside the door, I find it's very unprofessional, and I just don't want to eat there anymore.

We all know that smoking is bad for your health, and that it can cause cancer, but it is also bad for your business. It's not very inviting when you see someone smoking, right before they go handle clothes, books or food.

I hope these business owners know I'm talking to them, and fix this issue.
