SWLT to hold annual Angel Awards

Southwest Little Theatre will hold its 12th annual Angel Awards on Saturday, April 14. Miss Missouri, Sidney Friar, and Miss Missouri's Outstanding Teen, McKensie Garber, will serve as hostesses for the event.

Friar and Garber will perform the talent competition pieces from their respective pageants. Garber will perform a musical theatre dance to the song "I Am What I Am."

This year's Angel Awards will include a series of original dramatic monologues entitled "The Wind Beneath My Wings -- Honoring the Heroes of Southwest Little Theatre Players."

Junior high awards will be presented during the 4:30 p.m. show, and high school awards will be presented during a second show at 6 p.m.

Awards will be presented in the following categories: the Ozark 7 One-Act Awards; the Southwest Little Theatre Scholarship Angel recipients; best scenes; best play; technical excellence; best actor; best actress; best supporting actor; best supporting actress; best cameo actor; and best cameo actress.
