Chuck Nickle Photography Garrett Barnes, the first team All-State kicker for the Cassville Wildcats, has been invited to walk on at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin. After taking over the placekicking chores from Aaron Jamieson, Barnes blossomed in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Besides being named to the All-State team, he was also a two-time first team All-Big 8 Conference selection. His resume includes: scoring 126 points the last two years as a kicker; connecting on 60 of 62 extra point attempts this year and 51 of 57 his junior season; scoring on five of six field goals attempts; and averaging 56 yards per kickoff this year, with 24 kicks resulting in touchbacks.
