Galvan won the long jump with a leap of 21'3" and then the triple jump with a 43'9.5" effort. He slipped to second in the high hurdles behind Strafford's Blake Alexander but then won the 300-meter hurdles in 40.91.
Hendrix, the lanky sophomore from Southwest, won the high jump with a school record leap of 5'1". She placed third in the triple jump with another school record, marking the sand at 31'5.25".
Boys results
Jeff Elkins, of Southwest, placed third in the long jump with his 19'5.25". Justin Walker, of Wheaton, cleared 5'10" for third in the high jump. Cristian Sellars, of Southwest, took fourth in the 800 in 2:07.16. Kordell McNabb, of Southwest, was seventh in both the shot and discus throws.
Southwest placed third in the 4x800 meter relay, eighth in the 4x100 and eighth in the 4x400.
Girls results
Southwest freshman Nicole Ickes placed third in the long jump with her 14'3", third in the 200-meter dash in 28.13 and fourth in the 300-meter hurdles in 51.7. Wheaton's Samantha Etzler was sixth in the 400-meter dash in 1:12 flat and sixth in the 200 in 29.91. Shannon Mitchell, of Southwest, finished fourth in the 800 in 2:50.15.
Southwest finished fifth in both the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.
