Barry Countians who live within the Washburn precinct should be aware that their voting location for the April 3 general municipal election has changed.
In the past, Washburn voters have cast their ballots at the Washburn City Hall. Due to the large turnout that is expected for the upcoming election, the polling site has been moved to the Washburn Fire Station on Highway 37.
According to Gary Youngblood, Barry County clerk, the Washburn City Hall provided adequate space for smaller elections, but space was limited during the general election held in November of 2011.
