Homer Lee Essary, 60, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012, in his home.

He was born April 27, 1951, at Wheelerville, the son of Cecil and Colleen (Hicks) Essary. He was the father of seven children, Tammy Griese, of Kansas City, was his first born. She survives. On Feb. 12, 1972, he was united in marriage to Lucinda Willms, and to this union six children were born, who also survive, Johnny Essary, of Aurora, Tracy Mathew, of Branson, Lisa Holland, of Exeter, Misty Barber, of Deer, Ark., Robin Reed, of Branson, and Jamie Isbell, of Omaha, Ark. Other survivors include: one brother, Al Essary, of Galena; two sisters, Deloris Willms, of Galena, and Marty McKnight, of Willard; and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Carol.

He was a life-long resident of Barry County, where he received his education. He worked in construction most of his life, hanging sheetrock.

Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) at Mars Hill Cemetery, Scholten, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jerry Yarnall conducted the services.
