Orpha Beatrice Parker, 93, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cassville.

She was born June 23, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Ovedia (Smithback) Exline. In 1940, she was united in marriage to George Frederick Parker, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother.

Survivors include: one son, Dennis Parker and his wife, Faye, of Shell Knob; two brothers, Marvin Exline and his wife, Betty, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Donald Exline and his wife, Wanda, of Philadelphia, Penn.; and two sisters, Grace Hicks and her husband, Larry, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Irene Cavender, of Altoona, Iowa.

She grew up and received her education in Des Moines, Iowa, graduating from East High School. She was a bookkeeper for Bell Telephone in Des Moines. In 1976, she moved from Iowa to Shell Knob to make her home. She had been a resident of Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cassville since 2007.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens, Des Moines, Iowa. Local arrangements were under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
