Schad, 37, is a life-long resident of Barry County with traditional roots and a conservative upbringing.
"I feel it is time for our generation to get involved in our local government," Schad said. "Now, more than ever, we need smart, strong leaders with fresh ideas and skills to tackle the issues within our county."
Schad is a graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia, where he studied general agriculture with an emphasis on agricultural economics and education.
Schad is the owner and operator of Circle Dot Farms, a 340-acre cow-calf operation, and an employee of Schallert Brothers Seed.
"This office needs to be more transparent," Schad continued. "People need to know what is going on with their money.
"Most of all, the people of northern Barry County need a strong voice that will represent the issues they feel are important," Schad said.
