The Missouri State Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association recognizes student athletes and teams for their academic success in the classroom by awarding an Academic All-State award to both teams and individual student athletes.
A team is awarded the distinction of an Academic All-State squad if all players on the varsity team have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher.
An individual athlete qualifies for the Academic All-State first team if they have a cumulative grade point average after the fall semester of 3.88 to 4.0. An individual athlete qualifies for the second team if they have a cumulative grade point average at the end of the fall semester of 3.75 to 3.87.
Southwest
Southwest softball players earning first team honors were: Brittany Miles and Teresa Birkeland. Second team: Sarah Conley and Courtney Morgaw.
The team's combined grade point average was 3.50.
Purdy
Purdy softball players earning first team honors were: Addy Roller, Rachael Neill, Kristyn Cornman and Jayse Henderson.
The team's combined grade point average was 3.63.
