Michael "Mike" Carter Phillips, 46, of Washburn, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born July 25, 1965, in West Memphis, Ark., the son of Thomas and Deloyce (Simpson) Phillips, who survive.

Also surviving is one son, Wesley Carter Phillips of Bella Vista, Ark.

He was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School in Pine Bluff, Ark., and attended Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Ark. For eight years, he was employed in security at Walmart. In 2004, he moved from Arkansas to Washburn to make his home. He was a member of Mission Baptist Church at Washburn.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Mission Baptist Church, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Tommy Joe Carney and Pastor Dayton Brattin conducted the services. Burial was at Roller Cemetery, Washburn.
