CHS reader's theatre

Democrat Photo The Cassville High School debate class has been rehearsing the reader's theatre play "Stupid is Just 4 2day," by Lindsay Price, during the second semester of the 2011-12 school year. Students competed at the Crowder Reader's Theatre festival on Feb. 17 and the MSHSAA district contest on Feb. 28. The CHS class earned second place at the district event and qualified for the state competition, which will be held in Columbia April 20 and 21. Cassville's one-act play cast performed "Tracks," by Peter Tarsi, at the district contest and placed sixth. CHS students will perform the reader's theatre and one-act play in high school room 103 at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 18 and Monday, March 19. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Seating will begin at 6:30 p.m. each evening. The cast of the reader's theatre is pictured above. In the front row, from left, are: Chelsey Popanz, Tyler Hill and Paige Turner.
