Louise Coleman, 88, of Wheaton, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

She was born Feb. 13, 1924, in McDonald County, the daughter of Sherman and Edith (Love) Williams. On April 19, 1942, she was united in marriage to Bert Coleman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 11, 2006. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include: two sons, Ronnie Coleman and his wife, Joni, of Bentonville, Ark., and Danny Coleman and his wife, Carolyn, of Joplin; one daughter, Joyce Prewitt and her husband, Ferman, of Wheaton; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She grew up at Simco and graduated from high school at Rocky Comfort. Most of her life was spent farming in the Bethlehem community. In 1986, she moved to Wheaton to make her home. She was a member of Prosperity Baptist Church at Rocky Comfort.

Funeral services were held Sunday in Prosperity Baptist Church, Rocky Comfort, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Rev. Dale Keel and Rev. George Gore conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery.
