Gary Wayne Schell, 56, of Exeter, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield. He was born on Sept. 29, 1955, in Monett, son of Billy Wayne and Dollie Faye (Thomas) Schell. He graduated from Southwest High School in Washburn. He grew up working side by side with his dad in the family business, Schell Construction Company. He worked on the Alaskan Pipeline in 1970, and then for Seven Valley's Construction, in Cassville. He was a member of the Union Local #627 of Tulsa, Okla. He was also a avid supporter of BACA and H.O.G. (Harley Davidson Owners Group.) He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #4155 of Shell Knob.
Survivors include; his mother, Dollie Schell, of Cassville; one son, Kyle and his wife, Renee Hope, of Springfield; one sister, Ann Ennis, and her husband, Bobby, of Cassville; one brother, Billy Gene, of Moran, Minn.; one grandson; his companion of eight years, Carolyn Deal, of Exeter; three stepchildren; Shana Alyne Davis and her husband, John, Deborah Cuckovic and her husband, David, and Tina Owen and her husband, Chris, all of Exeter; eight stepgrandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Schell, and sister, Donna Stephens.
Services were held on Saturday at the White Funeral Home, Cassville, with Rev. Jack Freeman officiating.
