Storm leaves four injured, one dead

Four local residents were injured and a Cassville man was killed when an unconfirmed tornado touched down north of Cassville early Wednesday morning.

The storm tore through several trailer houses located on Farm Road 1102 north of Cassvilleg. The mobile homes were severely damaged or destroyed.

Glen Douglas Keeler, 70, of Cassville, was killed during the severe weather. According to Barry County Sheriff Mick Epperly, Keeler was thrown from his trailer during the storm.

Epperly also reported that other houses in the area sustained major damage and a semi truck was overturned on Highway 37 just west of the damaged and destroyed mobile homes.

The total number of homes damaged or destroyed in the storm and the names of the other victims who were injured during the severe weather have not yet been released.
