Blunt visits county

Democrat Photo/Reed Sen. Roy Blunt visited the Barry County Museum south of Cassville on Monday morning. Blunt was greeted by Cassville Mayor Bill Hill and several members of the Barry County Republican Club. During the question and answer session, Blunt offered information on the following topics: American religious freedoms and the first amendment; federal spending and the federal deficit; new federal mandates concerning family agriculture operations; the Respect for Rights of Conscience bill, which Blunt is co-sponsoring with Sen. Ben Nelson, Democrat, from Nebraska; domestic energy; the Affordable Healthcare Act; and Medicare and Social Security.
