The very next night, Southwest traveled to Joplin and came away with a 64-28 win over the McAuley Lady Warriors. With that win, the Lady Trojans improved to 14-8 overall and 5-2 in the Ozark 7 Conference.

Five other Southwest girls scored in the rout as Steve Rissler emptied his bench in the final quarter.
"It was a good opportunity to get our younger players some varsity action," said Rissler. "They did a good job maintaining intensity and executing our offense. Our confidence and timing are peaking at the right time for us heading into districts."
McAuley's rough week continued on Friday night when the Purdy Lady Eagles beat the Lady Warriors 71-7. Addy Roller led the domination with 35 points.
On Tuesday, Verona downed Wheaton's girls, 53-13 but then lost to the Exeter Lady Tigers, 72-65 on Friday night.
