Raymond E. Carter, 47, of Belton, passed way Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 21, 1964, in Kansas City, the son of Elmer D. and Avenell (Dodson) Carter.

Survivors include: his mother, Avenell Innis, of Shell Knob; one daughter, Samantha R. Carter, of Blue Springs; and two sisters, Connie Ring "Anderson" of Golden, and Carolyn Riddle and her husband, Shaun, of Shawnee, Kan.

Preceding him in death were his father and one brother, Russell Browns-berger.

He graduated from Raytown South High School and then completed Computer Technical School at DeVry Institute. Much of his life was spent in the Kansas City area where he was employed with AT&T as a computer technician. He was a member of Raytown Church of Christ.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Shell Knob Church of Christ, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Wayne Deffenbaugh will conduct the services. Burial will be at Fields Cemetery, Shell Knob.
