Larry James "Jim" Gautney, 75, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

He was born Dec. 21, 1936, in Boise, Idaho, the son of Fred and Leota (Hudson) Gautney.

On April 15, 1966, in Jenkins, he was united in marriage to Sherlene Fryman, who preceded him in death on April 2, 1999. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Louise Aldridge; and three brothers, Loyal Dean Gautney, Bill Gautney and J.D. Gautney.

Survivors include: three daughters, Cindy Lee and her husband, Donnie, of Cassville, Kim Pendergraft and her husband, Ron, of Exeter, and Cathy Bottoms and her life-long partner, Shane Jarrett, of Cassville; one brother, Jack Gautney, of Oregon; one sister, Carol Wilson, of Freistatt; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He moved with his family at a young age from Idaho to Jenkins. He received his education at Jenkins and remained in Barry County the rest of his life, where he was a carpenter.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Clio Cemetery, Jenkins, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Heathe Pendergraft and Chadd Pendergraft will conduct the services.

There will be no visitation.
