Thomas C. Blankenship, 63, of Sedalia, passed away Jan. 25, 2012, at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Columbia. He was born Oct. 22, 1948, at Cato and graduated from Cassville High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He had a career at Superior Asphalt in Kansas City as a highway construction surveyor. He was preceded in death by his father, Cleo K. blankenship and his mother, Lois K. Roney-Fox.
Survivors include: three daughters, Melissa Hillard and her husband Gerald, sonyette Bockelman and her husband, Travis, and Melissa Shull, and her husband, Doug; six grandchildren; and one sister, Kathryn Ashley and her husband, Ken.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Springfield. Burial was at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
