John Paul Duncan, 39, passed on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at Cox Monett Hospital, Monett. He was born in Ankara, Turkey, on July 27, 1972, the son of Paul and Sharon (Spivey) Duncan. He was united in marriage on May 8, 2004, to Wendy Chappel Duncan.

He was a musician and artist, and recently did body art. He was a member of the Community Faith Chapel, Cassville.

Survivors include: his wife, Wendy; his parents, Paul and Sharon Duncan, of Jenkins; son, Christian A. Duncan, of Austin, Texas; sister, Karen Lynn Brown, of Elk Grove, Ill.; stepson, Dayton Roger, of Ogden, Utah; and stepdaughter, Nikki Jamison, of Sandy, Utah.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother; grandparents, Paul and Barbara (Martin) Duncan; and grandparents, Raymond and Minnie (Dixon) Spivey.

Memorial services will be held at Community Faith Chapel, Cassville, on Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastor Doyle Russell will officiate.

Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
