Democrat Photo/Murray Bishoff "There's No Place Like Purdy" was the theme for the Purdy High School homecoming celebration on Friday. Junior Lydia Berry was crowned homecoming queen. The "Wizard of Oz" backdrop and a red ruby slipper made of balloons were created by the PHS art department. Members of the homecoming court are pictured above. In the front row, from left, are: flower girl Audra Mahurin and crown bearer Jeremiah Williams, both kindergarten students. Second row: freshman attendant Jazmine Rodriquez; senior attendant Tori Wood; Queen Lydia Berry; senior attendant Dani Wieferich; and sophomore attendant Kaylynn Harkey. Back row: basketball players Lucas Ridenour, Robby Moody, Garen Nelson, Reese Stevenson, Cameron Terry, Devon Bennett, Drew Williams, Austin Hancock, Cody Hall, Alex Haworth, Brent Cornman and Tyler Scott.
