Ronald Emery Jennings, 62, of Siloam Springs, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Jamestown, Penn., on March 15, 1949, the son of Emery and Byrel (Hamner) Jennings. In March, 1991, he was united in marriage to Betty Joe "BJ" Rader.
Survivors include: one son, Ronald E. Jennings, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Crystal Ralyea; two grandchildren; and his fiancée, Cindy McGrath, of Siloam Springs, Ark. He was preceded in death by one son, John Jennings; his mother and father; and stepmother, Irene Jennings.
He worked for several trucking companies the last being National Carriers and completed 42 years of over-the-road truck driving. He had worked 12 years in law enforcement as a Cassville City Police Officer, Barry County Sheriff Officer, Wheaton City Police Officer, Pierce City Police Officer, Cabool City Police Officer and Houston City Police Officer. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Memorial services with full military honors and last call by law enforcement will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
