Fred Allen Tucker, 70, of Monett, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

He was born July 16, 1941, in Galesburg, Ill., the son of James M. and Ethel (Daniels) Tucker. On Sept. 3, 1961, in Riverside, Calif., he was united in marriage to Mary Lynn Bradley, who preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 2005. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Chuck; and one sister.

Survivors include: one daughter, Tammy Hobbs and her husband, David, of Nixa; one brother, James Tucker, of Mazon, Ill.; one sister, Karen Mroz, of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He grew up and received his education in Illinois and resided in California a few years. In 1996, he moved to Purdy, remaining there until entering Benchmark in Monett a few months ago.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Dr. Bill Cox conducted the services.
