Bowl victory

The Scout Team, pictured at right, overcame Glory Days 57-45 to claim the Cassville YMCA's adult flag football league championship title on Jan. 3. The league offered an eight-week season with six local teams. The Scout Team, sponsored by Commerce Bank, also competed in the YMCA's Super Bowl flag football game on Jan. 5 and beat Monett's A Team 68-32. The Scout Team will be recognized on a plaque that will be on display at the Cassville YMCA. In the front row, from left, are: Joseph Gouvion, team captain; and Trenton Tanner.
