Michael Ray Priest, 59, of Ft. Lupton, Colo., passed away, Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Longmont United Hospital.
He was born May 13, 1952, in Springfield, Colo., to Murl and Wilma (Robb) Priest. He graduated in 1971 from Ulysses High School in Ulysses, Kan. On May 31, 1980, he married Deborah Norgren in Platteville, Colo.
He worked for Amoco, Golden Aluminum, KN Energy and Xcel Energy. He was a retired firefighter for the Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District.
survivors include: his wife, Deborah, of the home; four children, Misty (Douglas) Everett, of Youngsville, La., Sean Priest, of Purdy, Levi Priest, of Ft. Lupton, Colo., and Alexandria Priest, of Greeley, Colo.; two grandchildren; one sister, Murlene Priest, of Topeka, Kan.; and two brothers, Melvin and Bobby Priest, both of Wheaton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Murl Priest, and his mother, Laura Lee Troxel.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. John Duncan will conduct the services. Burial will be at Quaker Cemetery, Cassville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Department" in care of the funeral home.
