CMS Lady Wildcats teams finish season

The Cassville Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls basketball team finished their season with the Big 8 Conference Tournament, which was held Dec. 10 through Dec. 13.

The eighth graders lost to the East Newton 39-10. The team also fell to the Lamar Lady Tigers 32-26 and 27-16 to end the season with a 3-11 final record.

The eighth grade tournament winner was Carl Junction.

The Cassville seventh grade team lost to Lamar 35-27. Lady Wildcat scorers were: Alicia Huse, 9; Devyn Callahan, 7; Tori Cole, 4; Macy Parsons, 3; and Ashlea Large and Alexis Cielinski, 2 each.

On Dec. 12, the seventh graders bested Mt. Vernon 39-7. Lady Wildcat scorers were: Parsons, 13; Large, 6; Callahan, 5; Cielinski and Ashley Ray, 4 each; Huse, Camille Holman and Abby Norfalise, 2 each; and Cole, 1.

The seventh grade Lady Wildcat team also beat Seneca in the consolation game on Dec. 13. Cassville scorers were: Huse, 16; Callahan, 7; Parsons, 6; Ray, 4; and Large, 2.

The seventh graders ended their season with a 9-6 final records.

Aurora claimed the seventh grade conference title at the tournament.
