Mayor Tracy Holle resigns
After an executive session to discuss real estate and legal issues, Mayor Tracy Holle submitted her resignation to the Cassville City Council.
Holle, who was serving her third term as mayor, submitted a short written explanation for her resignation. She stated that her husband had accepted a job away from Cassville and the couple planned to re-locate.
Holle was originally elected in 2007 when she earned enough votes to replace Jim Craig as mayor. She was re-elected in 2009 and April of 2011.
North Ward Alderman Bill Hill, who serves as mayor pro tem, will be Cassville's acting mayor.
Holle could not be reached for comment at press time.
