Billy Joe Garoutte, 75, of Purdy, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011. He was born on Oct. 27, 1936, to Kimbrue and Nola (Young) Garoutte in Marionville. He attended school in Marionville. He enlisted in the Army on March 3, 1945, and served his country until being honorably discharged on April 4, 1958. Billy worked for Jumping Jack Shoes in Monett.
Survivors include: his companion of 25 years, Wanda Roller; two daughters, Debbie Jagears, of Monett, and Tammy Hayworth, and her husband Ric, of Pierce City; one son, Billy Garoutte, Jr., and his wife, Becky, of Monett; seven grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; three brothers, Danny Garoutte, Rick Garoutte, and Terry Garoutte; and one sister, Connie Pratt. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Henry Garoutte, and one sister, Betty Bowman.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home, Cassville.
