Washburn man injured in crash
A Washburn man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle wreck Thursday on Highway 37 in Washburn.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 4:22 p.m. when Robert B. Milne, 41, of Washburn, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned on his 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle.
Milne was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield.
* Adella I. Grippando, 21, of Cassville, was injured in a wreck at 9:20 a.m. last Tuesday on Highway 76 about two miles south of Cassville. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 GMC Sierra, Michael L. Dotson, 28, of Cassville, slid off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Grippando was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. Dotson was wearing a seat belt, but Grippando was not.
* Two people were injured in a single-vehicle wreck that took place at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 86 about two miles north of Eagle Rock. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche, William B. McCane, 47, of Independence, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and overturned. McCane and a passenger in the vehicle, Shannon K. Roszell, 45, of Independence, were both flown to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
