Albert Merritt Ferrin, 65, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, in his home.
He was born May 27, 1946, in Salmon, Idaho, the son of Harold William and Dorothy LaVonne (Hill) Ferrin. On May 10, 1997, he was united in marriage to Shirlee (Bourbeau) Randolph, who survived at the time of his death. She passed away Dec. 11, 2011.
Survivors include: four sons, Scott Ramsey, of California, Brian Ramsey, of Exeter, Steven Randolph, of Cassville, and Richard Randolph, of Cassville; two brothers, Harold Ferrin, of Sacramento, Calif., and Larry Ferrin, of Sacramento, Calif.; one sister, Pam Douglas, of Johnstown, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He was a graduate of South Tahoe High School in California. He entered the U.S. Navy and deployed to Vietnam, serving two tours there and received a purple heart. He also received the Marine Corp Navy Metal of Honor. After serving 18 years in the military, he was a car salesman in Norfolk, Va. In 1994, he moved to Missouri, living in Seligman until four years ago when he moved to Cassville.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
