Wildcats earn All-State recognition

All-State honors were recently announced by the Missouri Football Coaches Association and the Associated Press. Seven Cassville Wildcat players, pictured above and at left, were named to the prestigious lists. In the photos above, from left, are: Ricky Nichols, first team, all-around athlete, coaches list; and second team, athlete, AP; Josh Lannum, first team, offensive line, coaches list; Justin Pflug, first team, defensive end, coaches list; and first team, defensive end, AP; Trey Rose, first team, defensive back, coaches list, and second team, defensive back, AP; and Garrett Barnes, first team, kicker, coaches list, and second team, kicker, AP. Pictured at left, from left, are: Stanton Stringer, second team, linebacker; and Kyle Brattin, second team, running back. In addition, Pflug was named to the All-Ozarks first team, and Nichols and Rose were selected to the All-Ozarks second team. A total of 13 players from the Big 8 Conference were named to the AP's All-State team, including four from Cassville, one from Monett, one from Aurora and seven from Lamar.
