The Cassville Middle School seventh and eighth grade basketball teams played East Newton and Lamar last week.
The eighth graders lost to the Lady Patriots 49-10. Cassville scorers were: Lindsey Halterman, 6 points; Micah Cole, 2; and Tyfanee Horrocks and Alesha Cousins, 1 each.
Against Lamar, the Lady Wildcat eighth graders fell 27-16. Cassville scorers were: Halterman, 7; Makenzy Durossette, 3; Megan Boyd and Horrocks, 2 each; and Karlie Moore and Cole, 1 apiece.
The Cassville seventh graders were defeated by East Newton 48-17. Lady Wildcat scorers were: Macy Parsons, 6; Devyn Callahan, 4; Alicia Huse, 3; and Ashlea Large and Alexis Cielinski, 2 each.
The Cassville seventh grade squad fell to Lamar by a score of 40-33. Lady Wildcat scorers were: Callahan, 11; Huse, 9; Ashley Ray, 6; Parsons, 3; and Tori Cole and Cieslinski, 2 each.
