Weekend crashes leave several injured
Several people were injured in crashes that occurred over the weekend.
A Cassville man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck that took place on Sunday on Farm Road 2130 about one mile east of Butterfield.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 2:20 a.m. when the driver of a 2003 Hyundai, Jason J. Swift, 29, of Cassville, went off the roadway and overturned.
Swift was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
* An Exeter man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck when the Jeep he was driving left the roadway, struck a road sign and overturned before striking a tree. The crash occurred at 2:40 a.m. on Saturday on Highway 76 about one mile south of Cassville. The driver, Aaron M. Wilson, 22, of Cassville, was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville, with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
*Two Sheldon teens were injured in a single-vehicle wreck that took place at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 76 about three miles west of Exeter. The crash occurred when the driver of a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, Shawn Robinson 31, of Hartford, Ark., ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Two passengers in the vehicle, Austin Robinson, 13, and Dalton Robinson, 14, both of Sheldon, were taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville with minor injuries. All of the vehicle's occupants were wearing seat belts.
