'Tis the season

Sharing and caring Democrat Photo/Reed On Nov. 23, volunteer Salvation Army bellringers from Barry County gathered in front of the Cassville Walmart Supercenter to kick off the 2011 Red Kettle Christmas Campaign. Donations made at the Cassville kettle will be used to provide food, toys and clothing to needy families in Barry County. Volunteers are still needed for this year's campaign. For more information or to sign up as a volunteer bellringer, call Gail Reed, Barry County OACAC Neighborhood Center director, at 847-2140. Groups and individuals can sign up to ring the bell for an hour or two or even a full day. Volunteers are needed seven days a week through Dec. 24.
